Maybe. IDK. I only used the torque app couple of time.
Im using this device. The newer Parrott Asteroid Smart software will let you enter a code for the bluetooth device.

just read all 21 pages, it would be nice if it had 4.2+ because that has screen mirroring if i recall then you can just send what ever screen on your phone to the HU. Would make apps and etc easier

this way i don't have to scroll through the steering wheel menus every time i want to see a display (oil, pressure, trans temp, coolant, etc).
cheapest no fush no muss jellybean option is the ouku or chinese android HU. better option is using a nexus 7 or other tablet but you'll do a lot more work.

Bump from hell . . .
Has anyone gotten the SWC adapter working? I've got the Axxess AWSC-1 with the special Parrot adapter, but I DO NOT UNDERSTAND how to connect it to the harness or what wire to connect to what.
I have the instructions that says wires 2,3,5,11 from the AWSC are used & the vehicle wires are Dark Blue/Violet. Ok, NOW WHAT?!?!?

I luckily got to call Crutchfield to get the instructions I needed, but when I wired it up, the stereo stopped working. We kind of boiled it down to the PAC interface. I went to Car Toys & bought another one, plugged it in, stereo worked, so something about the PAC interface gets blowed up when wired up per the Crutchfield instructions.

so how are you guys liking this headunit?
I'd like to get one for my duramax truck but curious about the sound quality and general 'feel'.
running android OS with Bluetooth is what interests me the most- but just curious about everything else.

I've been using the PAC since installing the PAS for well over a year with no problem . . . until trying to install the Axxess ASWC-1 kit & using Crutchfields instructions.

Another necro-bump . . .
Parrot coming out with a new Asteroid type device?!?! SHUT UP & TAKE MY MONEY! I'm soooo ready to upgrade from the PAS. I like it, it's just slooooow at times trying to get it to do what I want . . .

WHOA, just watching some of the video & I googled the "Glonass/GPS" connection & it looks just like the connector the V1 built in GPS connector uses. Cool.

I have not read through all the posts. Get a quality obd2 interface!
I would go with the scantool.net MX Bluetooth. I have an Scan tool SX, which is usb , and when connected to my dell android tablet is very fast........it also works in conjunction with there own feee software available on android market.....and there is another app too, where you can use your phone to remote start, unlock down or roll down windows and stuff too (iPhone requires the MX WiFi)
I want to get a better head unit...I think they are going to go mainstream very soon.

Don't get your hopes up too much. I was reading yesterday that Parrot was telling customers that they had decided NOT to persue bringing the RNB6 to market. This was over on the XDA forums, and it could be just a rumor.

I saw that too, but it was also by a customer service rep who was being a dick to a customer.

I love the Android platform and would love to use it as the base of a feature rich head-unit, but my need for quality audio trumps that desire. I'll wait until one of the big three builds a double-din unit around android.
