Just wondering if anyone knows how far this block has been pushed in stock form? Considering a full fuel system for e85 and turning up the boost to 18-20.

I have seen over and over again the aluminum block taking 900hp on the street. The weak point are the pistons rods and rings. Change them, and 900hp all day.

THanks, guess that is reassuring, my main point of question was how much should I expect my stock ls2 to hold for, as long as I have a great tune and no detonation.

I cant do the CS 8.8 and a $5000 cage if I also will need to build the bottom end... I can only pick 2 lol

If you meant block itself plenty of guys are over 1000hp on the stock aluminum block but it wouldnt be my choice for reliability. Either go iron block or get ERL to sleeve the stock block and they are good for a ton of power.
