Interesting, Did you disassemble the door panels somehow, or glue and tuck in at the seams?

If you disassembled, how do they come apart, I can't remember what it looked like when I had them apart a few years ago.

At the seam I used a razor blade and slit all the way around the section I was wrapping in suede, I then pushed the fabric in the slit with a trim tool at the top sprayed the section with spray glue and then finished stuffing the fabric in the slit all the way around till it was nice and tight and neat looking.

I cleaned up its home. We moved last spring with a 1 yr old. The bike and the V made it into the garage but so did every other damn 'oddity' as well as tools and yard crap (no shed yet) so it was a mess since it was raining when we finished up the move. **** just got dropped. And the rest of the house needed attention as did the tenants (wife and kid) so it was slow going. Had a big break between brunch and the damn Steelers game so figured I'd do something. Sorted the whole garage, mapped out where the work benches go, moved the lumber, and made it easier to get it and the bike in and out while still using the space well while they are parked. No pics; Lights are bad, but it's no palace anyway, it's just about the room. Good progress. I can walk around it, get in or out any door and take it or the bike out without moving anything.

Kooks headers plus cats (2 broken bolts.... had to leave one in the head)
RevShift motor mounts
Revshift trans insert
NGK Iridium plugs
Crane spark wires
Also had to run new wires for the driver side knock sensor.

So far it's running great, no codes and no header leaks despite the lack of one header bolt at the back of the driver side. Despite all my attempts I could not get the broken bolt out. I tried to weld a nut to it, but since it's about 1/8 inch below the surface I could get a solid weld on it. I tried cutting a slot in it too, but all I accomplished was bending every screw driver and bit I threw at it.

I'll run it as is until it leaks, then deal with it or just put a new gasket on it and run some more.

If so, consider a MSD 5906. It's a solid starter.

You can build the head of the bolt up with weld then weld a nut to it, just get it really hot and rapid cool it with some penetrating oil. Because the head is aluminium the weld will not stick to it. I have to do exhaust manifold bolts weekly on Silverado and sierras so I have learned a few tricks vs pulling the entire head to have a machine shop remove it.
