Just finished the install and can't believe how nice it shifts compared to the stock shifter. If you are reading these posts and are thinking about doing this mod, do not hesitate. Well worth the money.

Where are you guys finding these cheap weighted *****? I bought a **** from twm when I had my 350z. Didn't regret the purchase but 300$ for a cool **** is crazy. When I pick up my V (when I can find the right 1) this will be my first mod.

Has anyone tried taking the extra stalk that comes with the kit and weld the original stalk on it? That way you could raise it up and move it forward?

We are in the process of making a longer collar for the modified factory lever that Brain makes . I would like it a bit longer ..for more leverage . I will let you know how it works(feels).I will say the shifter is light years better than factory. I am just wanting a bit more leverage to lighten the feel of the lever.

I send them out standard with a 1" extension now. If you have an old one that has no extension I will send you another one with any length extension for free. Just let me know how much taller you'd like and send me a pic of what you currently have.

Do not worry about it Brian ,you have been more than helpful . We just went ahead and made something for what i wanted . It was 2.5 longer, must be getting older. I will FB message you for the address to send the old factory lever back. Thanks again ...from all of us really for supporting an aged platform

I ordered the longer Hurst shifter rod someone listed early on. I think it's a extra 1 1/4" longer. I'll let you know how that feels.

The new shifter is great. I just want it to be a little lighter. And Momma thought it was way to heavy.

Thanks again for a great product! After I try the new Stalk I'll know how long the factory one should be.

What is the preferred method of ordering this? Just send the money via paypal with shipping info, or contact you via PM first?

Yes, send the $275 via PayPal and make a note in the transaction as to whether you'd like a white or black **** and also verify your shipping address.

McMaster Carr. Search for threaded steel ball. I think my 17/8" with 3/8 threads was under 10 bucks shipped. Had it for awhile now and love it.

What's the current status of this shifter? I bought mine probably a year a go but never installed it. At the time people had just started complaining about the bushings?

Do you have one I sent with two black bushings in the base? The black delrin ones I make to replace the Hurst nylon ones will never wear out. The stock Hurst bushings are known to fail and I had seen some failed from the factory. I started replacing them 100%. If you have the Hurst bushings I will send you a replacement one that I made.
