But, as you'll notice, lwsprtn11 put him on the list. I would interpret that list as a list of "maybes," not definite buyers. That's a critical distinction--you have to have money in hand before anyone will commit the design time and order LLTM on what is essentially a $40,000 purchase order.

No, that's a 19x8.5. A 19x10 using Forgestar's process will weigh between 25-26 lbs.

Hey fuzz I know reading has to be your thing judging by your excellent tech write ups. Notice the gauging interest portion in my initial post. I'm not asking for money, I'm seeing who would be interested.

If it doesn't go thru I'm doing the 19s and 20s option you are working on. I haven't been on the site in a long time mainly because I tried keeping the car stock while I was married in a effort to be responsible. I'm single now so I'm only responsible for myself haha. So I'll be on the forums a lot more. Keep up the good threads Fuzz

Non refundable down payment and minimum 90 day wait? So lay down $400 and maybe get some wheels 90 plus days later? Screw. That.

That's how the initial run of the f14s ran as well. They have to make a 6 lug mold which includes tooling and certification.

Actually, based on my Forgestar F14 project, it took them 4 months before their first 6-lug cores were built, photographed, and weighed. A month later, the first people got their wheels.

The non refundable part is harder to swallow than the wait, since when is all the risk placed on the customer? That's bad business if you ask me. Like any Forgestar wheel produced for the V1 has ever sat on the shelf for more than ten minutes. They need to get their head out of their asses and realize if you build them-they will come, not place the risk on the customer. I realize the risk is low but it is still risk at the customer's expense and that's just not cool.

Well the non refundable part is part of the price of the wheel. You are putting 1/4 down, then the other 1/4 when they are manufactured. When they are shipped you pay the balance. It's no different than lay away for wheels. We don't have a bunch of options so unless you want a wheel everyone else has then this is what you have to do.

What happens when only half of the 20 guys put down the non refundable 1/4 payment and forgestar decides not to do the run? 10 guys are just out $400? See what I'm getting at here? If this scenario is unrealistic I apologize.

Nothing starts until all 20 have put a deposit down. If it fails before that I doubt you lose your $400.

When I purchased the 14's I don't think I had to put down non refundable...just got charged half when the materials arrived and the rest once it was ready to ship.
