Default CTS-V is gone

Well I traded my CTS-V and my pickup in for a new Colorado, I want to get into a house by 30 so I took a short term loss for a long term gain, interest on the CTS-V was a killer, so I reduced my montly payments from $1650.00 to $460.00 for the new truck. The CTS-V is a great car, and I loved driving it, but it was a mistake to buy, I still have the SS which I finished paying off 5 months ago, I am just greatful I can keep that car.

FWIW last year I almost bought a new Z06 Vette. friend of mine pointed out to me that if I was ever going to buy a house it would be better to get it before the car. Having a big house payment doesn't hurt your credit on getting a big car, but if you get a big car payment it kills your credit for a decent house. You made the right move!

Smart move. But can you race your house?

I had absolutely no toys after I got married. Two boys, house payment among other responsibilities put all toys on hold until about 2 years ago. Then came the '97 Anniversary Z. I loved that car. Got bored with it and sold it. Ordered a GTO but after waiting 8 months my heart and wallet began to wander. Then the V. Unbelievable car! I will be selling mine in August to buy another.

Wolfgang, how did you do on the V as a trade. Just curious. Mine will be under 10,000 miles and I'm hoping to break even. Looking at $42K-$43K. We'll see.

CVP33, I took a pretty bad hit, car had 5k miles and I traded in for 46K, which is invoice, I had more like 59K left on my loan, so I had a hard short term loss, the new colorado is a very nice truck, plenty of room inside yet very easy to drive and now my daily driver will be cheap on gas, between my truck and car I had 700 hp, traded that in for 220hp but at least I still have 450 in the garage and that is paid for.

$46K is MUCH better than I thought. Maybe I won't get hit too hard. Thanks for the reply.
