Nice, yeah I like the 3.73 too I figured a tire couldn't contain it!

Can you explain the ride quality/handling compared to stock with the K-sports?

i'd like to know more about this as well.

keep thinking ksport/d2 would be a decent choice if i swapped the springs for swifts.

I was very PLEASANTLY surprised. The best way I can describe the way it rides now is very CRISP with the dampers set towards the stiff side, like a brand new car feel, planted, very solid and sporty feeling. Certainly not too stiff by any stretch. thats where they feel best is at the stiffer end of the damping spectrum. Once you soften the dampers it rides VERY similar to stock. I've been driving them around with the fronts at about medium and the rear a little less than medium towards soft, trying to find a combo that helps traction potentially. Still rides great

Like I said, it feels more planted, but I haven't honestly carved any turns as I run 25 psi cold in these soft tires on the rear… not the best combo for ripping turns!

Any thoughts on getting the hood modified to cover the blower? I would imagine you can't really drive it in the rain since it will get the belt all wet.

the belt probably gets wet in the rain even with the hood not having a hole in it.

PS - you should live closer so that i could take a ride in your car with the coilovers.

It's not a daily driver so the blower hanging out of the hood really isn't an issue as far as weather goes. At first I really wanted to get it covered and I even started mocking up a rip-off version of the D3 V2 hood type bulge but had other issues that needed attention. The longer it's been like this, the more I think I'll just leave it. It's kind of become this cars calling card haha

A buddy of mine just blew his diff on saturday in Ocean City… Coincidentally at the exact same time I was installing the 8.8. He's coming to pick up the old diff and driveshaft shop axles that came out of the car! Everything worked out perfectly 8)

Hell it might even help with keeping the blower case cool and your iat lower. Haha. If you do end up putting something over it, go ZR1 style and do a glass cover.

I overlooked this question before.

I'll double check tonight for you. I'm pretty sure that it has no function other than looks though.
