Default Looking into a V1 - whats it take to runs 11's?

I've been looking for a LSX platform for a while and haven't found the right vette but there are a few nice CTS V1's around that are interesting me.

I want something that's faster than most cars on the road here, 11's will definitely put me in that realm where I am - looow 12's would suffice as well.

Looks like 05/06s are reasonably available so my question is what does it take to bang out some reasonably quick times?

99% street driven car 1% actual drag racing - summer daily, wife will drive as well.

To make your V run 11's you need to swap it with a Corvette.

this. I figure I could get low 11s high 10s with about mid 500whp and an auto, and a 8.8 or 9" rear. Of course...that's knocking over a bank. If you want to go off that deep in one of these cars I would honestly say get a different platform. I love this car but I wanted it for a fun weekend car and to hit a road course a couple times...maybe try auto cross. My auto 2010 camaro ran mid 10s with 654whp. same weight as this car.

Not true. You just need a clutch rear end and tires. Stage up on YouTube with a clutch H/C/I and stock rear hit 12.1 and street tires. Guessing somewhere around 450rwhp if that. Would have been 11 seconds but is says he missed 4th.

So mostly the driver mod can do a lot.

Someone on here made 550whp with a Maggie, cam, and bolt ons. Just need a really good tune. After that, clutch and 8.8 swap, it's an 11 sec car (with driver mod). All those parts will set you back 15k-ish unless you can find deals.

Prayers or deep pockets.

Won't 60' out the hole hard enough without massive rear susp upgrade.
