I would love a extractor hood. But I'll settle for a power dome with vents

Who makes the heat extractor hood? Is that the extreme composite hood with vents? We def have a good amount of interest to make this happen. I believe in the previous hood group buy through extreme the prices were 600/750 depending on with or without the vents.

Correct, however, the shipping prices from their facility in Texas were extreme (e.g. $275 to Connecticut). Making matters worse, some of the hoods arrived damaged and had to be sent back. Plus you have to account for about $250-400 worth of labor to install the vents, if you choose to get them.

Hey Fuzzy, on a side note in my last class, Quantitative Methods of Mathematics I learned Fuzzy-logic is an actual term...are there any other options as far as hoods go? Shipping cost do seem high.

Unfortunately, there are no other options available. The good thing, I guess, is that the Extreme Composites hood (which will cost you almost $1750 to buy and completely finish) can provide a ton of underhood space if you remove underside and reinforce the upper half. In case it isn't clear, the hood barely provides any additional room unless you cut out the bottom half--it's basically a fiberglass clamshell.

There's an extractor hood made by Sarona. It's non functioning as is, I'm sure any decent body shop could make it functioning for a few hundred.
I have no idea about the quality of the hoods, just has the style I like.

I know I've brought this up before, but we've been so busy with other projects that this got put on the back burner. I can get a hood made, I can even have it made the way the majority here wants. We don't have to settle for what out there right now. I have a company that makes all the parts for me (I'm a vendor on the Vette forum) this below just give you an idea of what they've done.

If someone has a spare hood that they are willing to donate, I would do what I do for all my Vette parts. If you give me a hood, I will have a cowl hood built and send you the new cowl hood in carbon.

Prototype (using an Oem hood)

Finished
