Dyno results, cam added to 1:1 rears.
Dyno results after cam swap, peak hp increase of ~35 and in the higher rpm area closer to 50.

Sick man, im sure your happy well worth the upgrade im sure... I got a lot on my plate at the moment but I have a lot of potential to boost power if I need to which is nice to know. At the moment I barely get traction with 275 RS3's until about 3rd sometimes 4th gear... SO more power is not the biggest "want" right now
Anyways congrats man send me a video!!

Thanks guys!
I didn't take a video this time, I was afraid my phone was going to die. Bad planning with no charger.
I did get a video of a C5 Z06 vette before me that was trying to set the stock ls6 long block record. I have no idea if the record is true or not but I saw him put down 911 rwhp with an unopened engine. Record was 899. It was cammed, a large centrifugal blower, ysi or something (I'm not familiar but the compressor wheel was large), air-air and meth injection. He did turn up the timing a couple degrees to break the record and then back down before he left. And it was tuned for the meth so the safety is debatable, nevermind the power level. ~21 psi on that, iat2 was 50F on the meth and 14 degs of timing at peak. I'll post it in a couple minutes.

This should be a 700+ pull before tuning for the meth. The optical pickup on the dyno failed at some point so this might not be a full pull.

im on stock diff so that is the least of my worries right now, these tires are great though. 275's all four corners.
One thing to note is my wheel hop is pretty much eliminated in dry condiitons, Im either gettin it done or blowing the tires off. no hopping..
your 1:1 setup is very admirable for sure, its on a list for me and may come sometime next year...not sure what my plans are for the V.

What's the highest number on a stock LS6 block with no.meth?
Thanks guys!

The cam is a Brian Tooley stage 3 blower cam. It's just his off the shelf cam with his springs and push rods etc.
I don't remember exactly for pulley swap price, seems like about everything was $100 each. 2 pulleys from Magnason, a new rear belt, the pulley removal/install tool from pulley boys. Probably $400 total. Maybe a set of 5.3L truck intake gaskets too.

I'm going to pick up two 3.2" pulleys from pulleyboys @ 80 each plus shipping and use my stock belt. My belt and gaskets are new so I'll just reuse them. I have a press and a puller so I'll do the swap myself. All in all I should be out 160 plus shipping plus a new bottle of oil if I can't save the oil I have in there now, wich is also new lol

With doing the 3.2"rear pulleys are you guys using the same length rear belt? I'm jumping on board. Our little Maggie's putting out decent numbers. OP were your numbers on 93 octane. I'm thinking of doing a race gas blend for the retune with a combination of 106 & 93.

I was told by a guy that did the two 3.2 pulleys is that it uses stock belt. Now if I would have just used my man card when punishment cycle offered those few 122's I'd be all set lol
Also wanted to add that he said he had to clearence the lower manifold slightly.

So what do you think a safe number for a procharged stock ls6 is? Considering that guy made 900 with meth and on a vortech unit?
Thanks guys!

Search for punishmentcycle's thread called "overdriven rears done" it has all the swap info you need.
The blower pulley can't be less than 3.2 or it won't clear the snout. The stock setup is 2.9? JS and 3.49 blower if I recall recall right. If you calculate the circumference of 1/2 of each of those it is the same as 3.2 pullies so the belt length remains the same. Also Magnacharger offers 3.2 pullies. Punishment did a 3.49 driving a 3.2 for overdriven rears. That would call for a slightly longer belt and he may have had to clearance the manifold slightly for the 3.49. Before you jump into the 3.49/3.2 setup I will say my belt went on hard. You can do it but it may take a little work. I think 3.49/3.2 with an 8" crank pulley maybe a little much as well. Now 3.49/3.2 with a stock crank pulley would be perfect. I don't have detectable belt slip with my 6 rib belt fwiw.
If you need injectors then do it now. They are a PIA to do on the car with the bypass valve bolts. My duty cycle is around 60 with 78# injectors rated at 40 psi.
I did have the rear belt slip previously so tension it up!
My tune is on 93 octane, no meth nothing else. A degree of timing is worth probably 20rwhp so if you have better gas or want to tune on meth then you'll pick up power in a hurry. It's nice to know for the drag strip or something.
For the ls6 safe power level, I have no idea. I can't remember what he made before meth high 700's or low 800's. I also got the impression his car is a dyno queen and rarely sees wot. That's about all I can say on it. He was worried about the piston lands and said the meth would help cool it. Which is true but it isn't helping the bearings or fatigue on the crank.
