Even considering the power to weight difference, the Hellcat pulled the Caddy pretty good

Those hellcats are underestimated. I wonder if de-tuning the LT-4 helped it out any with its problems. Hard to argue the charger/cuts-v argument considering all the factors. Costs/comforts etc. the charger is the car I'd buy. Hate saying that, but it's true. They are both for sure sexy though!

Given the same dyno on the same day the HC will make 90-100 rwhp more then the V.

The V needs 40-50 more rwhp to trap the same speed. In saying that the V beats it in every other perf. stat.

My next round of mods will put me right with a stock V3 so I guess a stock HC will still pull on me and I will be at least 500 lbs lighter.....Crazy! Those HC's are fast!!!!

Not gonna lie, given the choice I think id take the hellcat charger over the new V. Dodge really stepped up their game with the hellcat line.

Those Hellcats are insane, glad Dodge had the ***** to actually put it out into production, and for the price nothing comes close.

as expected. but the cadi still out brakes and handles it. but tough to justify the price against the value of the hellcat. its a great time to be a car guy for sure.

If we're actually considering the money when new they can both **** off. Car for car there's no way the hellcat is half the car the Caddy is other than on a dyno.

Proof to back that claim up? Im a V enthusiast but I dont believe that statement at all. Not to mention that video in the OP kinda proves you wrong.

It's easy to prove. Quality of interior. The Hellcat will only beat it on the straight. If you put them in the twisties, the Hellcat will loose. It has already been proven against the ZL1.

He said the hellcat isnt "half" the car the V is and cant beat it anywhere except the dyno.......99% of the owners will never see a track let alone a road course or auto-x. Stoplight to stoplight is about all the fun most buyer have nowadays.

Ok dyno and 1/4 mile. I was talking about the whole car. You can't possibly tell me you'd rather spend your days in a dodge rather than a Cadillac if money didn't matter. The only thing the dodge has is horsepower. That's not enough for me. Not sure what you want me to 'back up'. There's more to a car than just 1/4 mile times. Otherwise we'd all be driving fox body mustangs.

From a rolling 40 MPH, the V3 starts out well, but then a couple of shifts later appears to run out of steam while the Hellcat really gets rolling.

I'm sure Dodge will sell them as fast as they can make them, but I'm still a V man.

Isis have you been in a hellcat? The interior is no slouch. And with their upgraded seats they are very much like recaros. So......what else do you think the dodge is lacking on interiors amenities wise? Because it's not like it doesn't have A/C or heat.

Rand49er that's because you can watch the LT4 heat soaking. That's why it looks like it runs out of power. It does. From the moment the hit starts the car begins to lose power. They have many problems to iron out with that motor. Upgraded cooling for iat's is the first thing they need to do IMO

I'm not trying to be a big advocate to the hellcat. But it's hard to ignore for the price. It's going to be 25,000$ cheaper. For 25k that I could spend else where? Yes please.

It's a matter of taste I guess.

And I know it seems weird to ignore the prices but if money's a factor i'm not picking either one tbh.
