Default CTS-V Mod help

I bought a 2005 CTS-V last week and I am looking to do the basic bang for your buck mods.

The two mods that are showing the best gains are;
1) MorePerformance CAK (which I purchased and installed).
2) X-Pipe.

Has anyone made a X-Pipe for the V? or can I use one designed for another car?

Are there any mods I am missing?

Thanks in advance.

I have contacted MTI twice to see if they sell the individual X-Pipe and they have yet to respond.

Is there any other place that sells a X-Pipe other than MTI? I cannot find anyone.

Any competent muffler shop should be able to fab one pretty cheap.

How much louder did the car get, if at all, and was there a noticable power gain.

Barely noticable at idle & alot louder at wot.To me the car responded better to the x-pipe mod than the cold air package.

Is the Magnaflow x-pipe made out of stainless steel?

How much did you pay for the Maganaflow?

I got a response from MTI;

$199.00 for the version that welds into the stock intermediate pipe and $279.00 for the version that attaches to aftermarket headers and then into the stock intermediate pipe.

This is the cheapest I could find the Magnaflow Stainless Steel X-Pipe;

http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...atalogno=10791

Is $65.95 a good price?

Just a tad bit cheaper than MTI

Thanks a bunch for the help!

WrkCar can you explain a little more how it feels and sounds?

Do you feel a vibration underneath or do you just hear it coming out the exhaust in the back?

How is the noise inside driving normal? I don't care about it being loud on WOT.

Would you say it sounds the same as taking off cats and using an Off Road Y-Pipe?

While I don't mind the performance I don't want it too loud inside.

The x-pipe is barely noticable at all until pt & wot.Also there is no vibration or interior noise at all.

WrkCar thanks so much for your help you have me sold. People are getting some serious rwhp from this simple mod (15-20rwhp) but noise inside was my concern. I went ahead and ordered it ground and hopefully it will be in Friday so I can swing by the muffler shop and get it installed for the July 4th trip to see family

Take Care
