Default Can u use a carpet cleaner on the seats?

Anyone know if it would hurt to use a steam cleaner on the tan alacantara inserts in the seats? Or will water make them look worse or also maybe damage the airbag sensors? There not black and Greasy or real dirty or nothing but I'm sure they will brighten up a little bit and look newer?

Steam cleaning is not recommended because the heat can melt the fibers. In the video above, Larry briefly mentions using a steam cleaner, but he really understands how to be gentle with it and I wouldn't take his mention as permission to attack your interior with reckless abandon.

I use
Chemical Guys Inner Clean Chemical Guys Inner Clean
followed by
303 Marine Protectant 303 Marine Protectant
(same as Aerospace, just not marked up as much) as my general "go-tos" for the V1 interior.

There is a lot of brands that offer safe leather cleaning. Just dont rub too hard on the suede.

Can't go wrong with woolite and warm water using a microfiber towel. Just make sure to control the moisture VERY carefully, as in damp not wet to start, then rub to dry turning cloth frequently. When it's dirty, change towels, the more the merrier.

Update. I got them lookin pretty clean. I went to walmart and bought a can of tuff stuff spray foam cleaner, spayed the cloth part of the seat and let it sit for about a minute and then i wiped it up a few times in different directions with a micro fiber towel, then i vacumed it up and let it dry about two hours and then i vacumed them again and they look pretty good. Maybe have to do them one more time but overall that worked really good.
