What is preventing you from not being able to use it? Tpms? There is nothing in the tech2 that can turn it on or off. If you need a nav from a different car vin coded to yours that can be done but nothing specifically with comp mode

That makes more sense, I know for pcm programming you need a laptop in addition to the tech2 I will pull mine out of the trunk and see if you can just do it on there without the laptop that would be less complicated. If your questioning buying one do it fwiw it's one of the best purchases I have made

Do you have a link to the tech2 you're using?

I don't think my car will go into comp mode either. In to see if it can be programmed back in. No lights, everything working correctly, but I'd imagine something was replaced along the way.

If I remember right it's under special functions menus.

I didn't need a laptop to reflash my radio, so I'm willing to bet you don't either. It's fairly intuitive, but Google will lead you to a tech 2 manual.

I use a tech 2 clone from China.

TECH II can program select what car the radio is in as the steering wheel functions in a CTS are different then the V.
