I also just reached out to two companies, to see if they would be interested, since it appears this is going no where....

Damn! Good to know.... Heavier than I thought. I'd be interested in seeing what options are available.

Yeah our sunroofs are nice and light luckily compared to some others. OP I imagine you're officially done with this venture?

Mine's had a broken deflector arm since I bought it. It adds character to the POS-V. Thinkin about performing all future repairs with duct tape.

Sunroof delete will be one of many Weight reductions I plan on... I have the sunroof glass already, so I figured id make a mold of it and replicate it, just like all the other Sunroof deletes.

Id have to test it first, make sure its straight and fit snug and doesn't leak first before I can mass produce it.

Wondering if there will be interest in it??

Welcome to the forum. Here's a tip you can use on this or any other forum... Before replying to a post from 6-1/2 years ago hoping for a response, do yourself a favor and click on the username of the person you want to ask a question, then click on "View Public Profile". For Reckless V you'll see "Last Activity: 08-19-2022 09:08 PM". I don't imagine you'll get a response.

Makes sense man. I misread the users info. I had thought it said 2023.
Thanks for the welcome.

It would've been neat to see this come to fruition, but RecklessV had a couple big projects that got bogged down, then he disappeared from the forums.

What about securing it via the mounting points for the tracks? I haven’t been up in that area. However my car has a “sunroof delete” however not the best one, and it was bondo’d in place 🤦‍♂️

Mounting points seem pretty far away for the tracks.... Would like to find a solution that allows the "plug" to be installed without a huge fiberglass piece. Need to find the time to drop the sunroof and evaluate... not opposed to bonding in place as long as it looks clean from the outside. I no longer have a headliner so prefer a minimalist approach

The ones I have seen are just a replacement that covers the hole, usually from the bottom with weather-stripping and are clamped in place. The "plug" as you call it WAS carbon or fiberglass.
