Default Rain Sensing Wipers?

Light sprinkles off and on this morning and a few times I turned the wipers off and they turned themselves back on. Switch was off when this happened. Feature or Bug?

What am I in for?

I’m sure. They come on when I start the car. Do a couple sweeps and then stop. Turn them on you’re ok but intermittent isn’t always intermittent sometimes it’s just on. Hit a bump with them off, wipers go a few swipes again. This is all in one drive for 2-3 miles.

Headlights function appropriately based on the switch setting. I think I’ve got it narrowed to the wiper motor cover/pulse controller thing for about $75

Dropped it off at my local shop while I go out of town for couple day. Told them to just replace the wiper motor cover. I don’t have the time to fart around with stuck wiper arms and whatnot. Hope it’s taken care of when I get back Friday

Seems to have fixed it. Didn’t drive it much yet. They got it from the Chevy dealer so the part was $140. I found it for $86 on Amazon. But they only charged $60 labor so whatever. I dropped it off on my way to the airport and picked it up when I got back. Easily worth not dicking around.

I might’ve had 30 min to deal with it. Any threads on it said up to a couple hours and maybe a stuck wiper arm. Wasn’t gonna bother. I just don’t have time to get stuck. I paid $200 to have the same shop do my pads and rotors when I couldn’t get the first two pins to budge on the first caliper. I think 60 labor is 45 minutes So it seems close enough to me.
