What do you want out of the exhaust change?
Most V owners have gone BB or Corsa. Hp vs smooth sound

So BB is the HP and corsa is the smooth sound, is it the same tone as the ZOs?

Default CTS-V exhaust

If you'll check the forum on Cadillacowners.com for the V, the additional hp for a Corsa or B&B is minimal, maybe 1-3 hp. The factory exhaust is that good. On my 2004 V, I went with the Corsa and Random Tech high flow cats. The car sounds like a Ferrari, and my wife, who hates loud cars, is fine with it. I use the car every day, and do alot of highway driving. There is no drone at any speed, and it is quiet with a slight burble at idle. But if you step on it, it snarls right now.

The B&B system is beautiful, but who looks under the car? It also has issues with drone at certain speeds, and is LOUD. It just depends if you want the boy racer image. Also, the Corsa is available as an option from Cadillac, so there might be a little higher resale value.

Good luck!

Jack

BB with X pipe claims 10-15 hp, with resonator it's 0 hp gain. Corsa claimed more flow, but no hp gain. Dyno's have confirmed the above.

I am not a car guy on here, I got a truck but I will tell ya I work right across the street from B & B Fabrication ( BIlly Boat Exhaust) down here in Phoenix. I saw this post so I thought I could put in my 2 cents. Those BB exhaust systems are thee best on the market as far as I am concerned. Hell, Billy boat himself drives a V with it on there.

Don't you think Billy is a wee-bit biased?

As an owner of a Corsa and B&B, Corsa is the one for picking up grandma; B&B is the choice for crusing main street.

For the record, my Grandma refuses to ride in the CTS-V with X-Pipe. But she's also seen me drive.

That's why I have a B&B exhaust on the V with B&B headers on a FedEx truck headed my way.

Ill post pics tomm of it. Im probably going to go with BB headers and exhaust for the first mod. Does anyone else know of a 22 year old with a V. I traded my tahoe on 24"s for it and got a fair deal on it. I picked it up with 9000 on the clock. One more thing, which shifter should I go with? Thanks for all the help.

Here is two more cents worth of thought. :

If you are not buying headers and want to save some cash there is one more option to get good sound and a little hp increase. You must be able to weld or have someone weld for you, but it’s a fairly easy process.

You can pull off the exhaust cut a small hole in each tail section top (2"x3") and pull out the fiberglass. Cut a section out of the resonator (top) pull the fiberglass out and tack sheet metal over the slits in the exhaust tubes to help direct the air straight thru.
Weld the pieces back on and you have a clean sound for zero dollars.

The sound is more like Corsa than B&B, not much until you punch it, no drone.

Just a thought.eek2:

I did the Corsa a while back on mine and I couldn't be happier. I picked up power everywhere and the sound is oh so sweet. Here is a link to my thread and dyno results.

Stainless Works long tube headers and 3" exhaust w/ x-pipe here. I couldn't be happier.
