Default Need Wheels, Have Money, Can't Decide, HELP!!!

Okay my factory wheels got pretty scratched up so it's a good excuse to buy new wheels. I've got money burning a hole in my pocket but I can't decide on a wheel.

I love the CCWs hands down but they are just raw polished Al. They don't offer any other finishes and I just don't have the time or energy to polish wheels every weekend.

I normally like Fiske wheels but they just don't have a wheels that appels to me for the V. Not to mention the way they do the 3 piece wheels even the 19s look small.

HRE has some nice stuff but I think they are way over priced.

I like simple designs and NO rivets. What else is out there?? Help me spend my money!!!

Default wheels

I have a set on order from Forgeline .. 8.5 up front 9.5 in the rear. You can get any finish. There are not a lot of style options however. I went with polished as you can always buff them up. Paint scratches and chrome eventually pits or chips off. YMMV

Paul,

You can have the CCW's chromed, that's what I did. John can take care of it when you order. I didn't like polishing every weekend either. See this thread for info on mine.

Chrome is not way to bling bling on a Cadillac or CCWs for that matter. Now 22s or spinners would be considered bling. Hey Paul, go with the CCWs and have them chromed thats a great idea.

Im sending my sp600s to get chrome because polished is to much of a pain in the ***. Plus black makes the wheels look smaller!

I agree on the black. If I'm dropping 4K on wheels and tire I want someone to notice them dammit. I really want the 19" CCWs.

I've thought about the chrome but I really like the looks of the polished or the machined look. Has anyone have any luck clearcoating a polished wheel? I know this is what Fikse does. The wheels on my Vette are polished Al and coated from the factory. The clean up real nice and easy and never any buffing.

Polished or satin with polished lips. I'd even go silver with polished lips but no black or gray.

I'm just worried about the clearcoat sticking to a highly polished surface or yellowing.

Paul,

You can paint, powdercoate or black chrome the center section and just have a poilshed lip. Call John and talk to him about your choices. We talked a lot about what to do on my "V". I contemplated painting the center section of the wheel the same color as the car and just having the polished lip. Decided to chrome instead. There are a lot of choices.

Mallett wheels? They come in silver, dark gray, and polished. He runs 19x9 all the way around.

Are you talking about John at CCW? I spoke to Chip there yesterday and he make it sound like there were no other options. Now I know on the muti-peice wheels you can do all that but on the 1 peice I don't think they can.

Talking to the wife last night, I have to do that since it is her car, she leaning more towards a Magnacharger then the wheels now. Wish we could swing both. Decisions, decisions....
