Its called the FG2 shock package... for a daily driver, maybe not necessary (unless you like your suspension stiff and like to feel EVERY bump)... Its called out by GM as a "track" suspension.
On the other hand, some people on cadillacforums (just the other day) swear by it and have said dont get the car without it.
if you do decide to get it, expect a stiffer ride.
Note that it is a dealer installed option and the stock shocks belong to you as well and the dealer should give them to you in the trunk (ask if they dont)... you can always switch back and sell the FG2s. You are, however, out the labor cost to switch back to stockers...

Yes, they are definitely worth it but not as stiff as you might think.
Ok, go for a ride and take notice of the body roll, the little swaying, left to right, feel of the suspension. Take a corner at a quick pace and remember the body shift, steering wheel input, the way the car responses to the little impefecting mid corner...
Ok, got that... now take all of that away!!! The car, with this shock package, tracks beautifully. After driving a V with it, mine felt sloppy. very sloppy. Kinda hard to grasp the idea when these cars handle so nice already. But, im dead serious, its perfect. Now, when ever you decrease body roll, increase suspension sitffness, you get a harder ride on your kidneys... honestly, and this isn't an attempt to sell the kit, these shocks, IMO, dont not ride stiff at all. Its perfect really.... more turn-in response, mid corner stability, but taking a bad road wont jar your fillings loose or slam the locktite off your flywheel..... PLEZ, just drive a V with one and make a decision.. i think its perfect and my GF loved it... took a BAD, BAD road around downtown area and the potholes went almost just as "smooth" as the stock ride does...
