Default Clutch/Flywheel Question...

Should I buy a Steel or a Aluminum Flywheel? Will the Aluminum one make my rear blow faster because of faster ingagement? What are you guys using?

well, I think any lighter flywheel will make the rear blow faster...any use besides regular street driving will make the rear blow faster....and I dont know if you have an option of steel or aluminium...I dont know what the UUC or tpis ones are made out of...but take a look at UUC's website http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/ they explain a little more about the lightened flywheel and "virtual" weight loss

I actually know alot about them but I just want to hear other people's opinions and to see what people are using in the V. thanks though.
UUC only makes a flywheel....

i believe the steel unit is light enough compared to the stock dual, that the difference is well felt. ALso, the aluminum might be TO light for the street and make the car drive a bit rough...

the TPIS unit is balanced and should be a good unit. I like the textralia clutch kit with the billet steel flywheel.

I live with the Fidanza alm. flywheel everyday. Noticeable difference and no negative issues with driveability.
