06-07 differentials fixed?
I'm on the edge about getting a CTS-V, one big thing stoping me is the rear diff problem. But I heard that the 06-07 rear diff's were a new, stronger design.
Can anyone confirm?
Thanks

ya, they still break even with the 'updated' design....Mainly it's wheel hop thats killing the diffs, at least in stock form that is...either way you'll still love the car.

I'm on the fence about it. I have an 06 evo, but the evo is hard to live with, loud, and uncomfortable, but its hard for me to give up a car that runs 12.5 with a full exhaust and 2k miles on it for a another with 30k miles on it

I would say that since you're throwing track numbers out there.. then stick with the evo.. From what I have seen you can count the V's on this forum on one hand that do a lot of track time. I personaly love the V. It's has power when you need it and it's classy. Evo's are great cars and I even looked at one before I bought the V. But when they gave me the fake excuses as to why I could not test drive it.. Thats when I realized it was not for me.

Thanks for the input, I guess I need to see if I really want to go to the track alot (only been 2 times in my evo) or just for my car you feel quick on the streets, if you know what I mean.
Im driving home to vermont from florida in my evo next week; not the most comfortable but I'm planing on test driving a V when I get there.
