A buddy of mine has a viper, and I was looking at the rear in his car, and it's flarkin huge. I'm sure it could put up with the abuse, but I agree, how do you make that ***** fit.

Damian, I need you to make me a new rear, it needs to be robust, cheap and I need it done fast!

Ok I'll take cheap and reliable. I consider fast a week. So I'll give you a month

How bad are the rears in these cars? If we put a 430 inch motor on one with streettires is it still likely to kill it? Or more of an issue when car hooks hard?

The housing can break at stock hp/tq numbers. But there are people running 500+ hp and the rear is still holding up.

Not sure if anything would be worth the work now that GM has one that will be available in a few months after the new v is released. It has a tough steel one in it.. So im sure we could just buy all that stuff and be good.

We should all just GET that stuff IMO if your still under warranty. It's BS that the FTB or another govt agency/burea hasnt forced GM/Getrag to step up to the plate on this

On cadillac forums a man figured up the cost. I think they figured around 3500. You need a new or altered tank and you also have to relocate your shock mounts. Everything else "should" bolt up.
