I'll probably list the car in spring, maybe sooner if I can find a way to take pictures of it while in storage. Going to malletcars. com is probably the easiest way to see what is done in their conversion. It has their package along with 19" forged wheels, longtube headers, larger spec cam, and rear spoiler through them. Over $23,000 in Mallett options. I'm going to list it at $39,900.

Damn that is really nice. I am on the fence on whether I want to buy a modded CTS-V or fully stock so I can do it my own way. Ya know? I definitely have the CTS-V Fever.

Here is my take and why I bought the Mallett. The Mallett is going to retain some extra value due to the fact that is was done by a well known and respected speed shop. Its a serial number package which carries with it some rarity. I seriously considered buying a supercharged V, but it seemed like everyone has issues with them at one point or another. In fact the one I almost bought, needed a rebuild four months later.
While its fun modding a car yourself, you always lose your *** at resale time. A modded V will always get looks, they are great cars. But the Mallett draws a crowd.

I've never seen another Mallett in person, they probably only average 10-15 a year for four years. Maybe there are 60 made?
The Mallett has the badges on both fenders and trunklid. The wheels are CCW wheels with the Mallett emblem in the center and 'Mallett' on one of the spokes. Mallett badge in the cluster, and embroidered headrests on all four seats. Also has the serial plate in the door jam.
It doesn't hurt that its considered collectible by Nada. At least it helped me get collector plates for it.

Agree with Darkside
This is from a used CTS-V buyer.
I'm a stock fan – I would never buy a CTS-V with a modified engine – unless it was done by a company like Mallett…just the view from here…
Don't forget about the '09 with 550hp......Darkside, I would get it on the market early spring..

I felt the same way about buying a used modified vehicle. I spent over an hour talking with Chuck Mallett at the auto show. I'm lucky enough to live locally to their shop. The 430rwhp is basically 500hp so its not that far off form the '09 coming out. At damn near half the cost. I'm curious to see what the final cost will be on the new V.
I'll market it aggressively in the next month or two. I'm just putting feelers out for now.

If I hadn't just bought a V I would jump all over the Mallett. Great looking and running car. Plus like you said darkside you get an actual limited edition car. Good luck with the sale. Where can I see full pics of your car Darkside?

Hey all
Thanks for all the replies I have actually changed up my goals for a CTS-V since reading all your posts and info on this forum. My Ideal V is a Silver with Black interior, 2005. I really like the LS6 engine and how refined it is. The LS2 is fine as well and i wouldn't turn my back on any V 2004-2007. I am definitely going stock.. well maybe a Corsa Exhaust or something on it already would be fine. So any of you out there with a V Low miles, light platinum with black interior or black on black 2005.. with very very light mods hit me up! I am a serious buyer cash in hand.

Just make sure to get one that still has Factory warranty. ebay worked for me..a Benz dealer got it in a trade....I called as soon as it popped on and made a deal over the phone. Took about two months of daily checking..
Good Luck!
