Default HID bulbs?

one went dead, and i'm not ready to pay $185 GM each or $244 for a 6000k set. any decent aftermarket bulbs cheaper? or does someone upgrade and have one laying around they would part with?

just so i'm on the same page i'm looking for a D1S bulb?

sorry i'm old school so i've never added HID because the ballasts are heavy and this is the first car i needed to chase a HID bulb down on

A bulb is pretty much a bulb on them. As long as they fit. The electronics used are what diferenciates between crap or not.. The balasts in the v are very nice. So if you get the bulbs and they work with our ballasts, then you should be good.

Sorry just noticed i had a Pm (thanks jerrad) but yeah they are d1s bulbs any d1s should work. just go to fle-ebay and type in "d1s hid"

also while you have the bumper out I reccomend Changing the high beams (9005XS bulb#) to Hoen's super white ones.
My buddy has some hoens in his TBSS and they look awesome and haven't had any heat problems at all

I plan on doing this soon just haven't gotten to it yet.
Good luck

Is your warranty up I guess? I've seen a couple people have had the HL replaced because of foggy plastic all under warranty.

It should only be available on the stsv or SRX. Also on NON v cts. It just moves the housing to make it always right. You can do calibrations to set it up with bidi controls with the tech2. Not sure why it wouldnt work if you plug it all in on the v, but that is just extra weight.

go to hoen's website there more expensive than others but worth it

BTW it doesnt matter if they are xs that just means they are straight instead of that 90 degree angle where they plug in . Any 9005 bulb will work
