Ported LS6 heads + a cam (even a donkey dick one) != 471 rwhp in a V (we have close to 20% drive train loss). Especially not is a car that you would warantee.

425ish on a dynojet I could believe.

no way in hell it is doing 471rwhp, my stock one put down 321rwhp. 150rwhp for those mods? Never gonna happen. Would need TFS or AFR heads, big cam and every bolt on known to man.

I wasn't believing the 471 rwhp but I called and that is what they claim. Does anybody know someone with a Mallett car that has Dyno sheets to prove the numbers????? I would like to know what i'm buying into if i decide to buy the Mallett.

dude in cali has a 427 V from them..

but i guess you are looking at the 347 package. IMO you are buying the name not the HP when you buy from Mallet, Lingenfelter, or Carroll so you should go into the project with that in mind

as far as the 471 numbers, TEA can get 346.4 270.4 at.6 lift and 350 at .65lift out of ls6 heads so with a big cam, and a good tune 471 is doable

Lunarx has the C5R V. I think he's at just about 500 rwhp, if I recal correctly.

Everyone and their mom can come up with a 470 rwhp heads cam package. BUT finding one on LS6 castings, that isn't all hogged out killing low-end TQ, without using a humongous cam, and then feeling confident enough in the setup to give a 2 year waranty on it, is far and few between. Actually I'd say that it doesn't exist (especially from a package that was first offered 4 years ago, The guy offering the mallet for sale is Dave, who stated the specs as an '04 mallet V with the conversion done brand new from the dealer).

still doable, the engine will last even with a huge cam if you set it up right. the rest of the driveline on the other hand

Ok so is the Mallet Stage 1 347 kit not worth the money??? 470whp on an lsx motor can be done easily... my question is whether this Mallett car is worth purchasing...with the mallett kit do you lose low end torque? and yes, Dave is the guy offering the Mallett....

It is my car. Mallett claims 471 at the wheels. I thought the consensus was more like 430-440, as I have told several interested people. I thought Lunarx with the C5R Mallett V made almost 600, but I could be wrong. I remember that from the ebay listing when he bought it. My car is warrantied to 100K via the CPO from Martin Cadillac who did the Mallett conversion when new. They currently have (2) 07 Malletts. 1 has 6000 miles and is $60000 and the other has 350 miles and is $70000. I can tell you this car is certainly faster than my previous V that had B&B headers, cats, exhaust and a tune. That car did make 377 on a dyno. Feel free to ask me any specific questions.

I forgot to add that the package is not just the motor. You get suspension work, shifter, wheel hop stabilizer and some other things. It costs $16500. I do not think that Mallett would sell any of these for 16K if it was 71 crank that you can almost get 2/3 of with headers and a tune. That is just my biased opinion since I have one for sale

I still like your Mallett Car Dave, especially with the warranty. It seems as though not many people are exactly sure about the Mallett V...

A Mallett is not for everybody. They only make about 10 a year.
