True, but I see the V covers on ebay going for over $150, why more than the corvette ones. Im thinking of throwing mine on there but I have a feeling one day imma need it.

I have two of them I might think about putting up there. I bought a spare one of ebay for $50 awhile back and was thinking about sanding and custom painting it but decided to go the FRC route instead. The FRCs give it a much better look, IMO, and I have to think they're better for dissipating enigne heat. Maybe not much, but there is definitely less blockage.

Those are painted. Look at the bottom right of the picture right at the light reflection. You can see the high gloss of the paint. They look awesome...I really need to do this to mine. I love the Caddy one but the Vette ones just scream power when you lift the hood.

I bought them at the parts department of my local Chevy dealer. Used a dremel to cut them up and put them on.

See thats what i couldnt decide on. My car is black and i wanted red, because red pops out on a black car, but I found the black ones on ebay for real cheap, I couldnt find reds under $150.

Just paint them. My GTO FRC's were in horrible condition when I got them. I didn't care what they looked like as long as all the clips were intact.
