Default Which slave cylinder do I need to put a c5 z06 clutch in the V?

I know there is a spacer offered to make the stock slave work with the z06 clutch for $60 but with 120k on the car, I'd prefer to spend the difference and get a new slave while I'm at it. Which slave will work best to put this LS6/Z06 clutch in my car?? I'm told it's different than the standard V clutch so will the C5 Z06 slave be fine or should I go with the C6 Z06/LS7 slave?

Thanks in advance fellas!

I didn't know the slave was different. Can you post a pic?

I'll post a pic when I get to the shop in a bit. The V slave is shorter. Katech and TPIS offer spacers for it to make it work with the z06 clutch but like I said, with 120k, I'd rather just spend the $100 and replace it while I'm in there. I just don't know if it's the c5 z06 slave that I need or if the C6 z06 slave will work on it...

Yeah but do you have a C5 or a C6 Z06 clutch? They are different.

C5 z06 clutch. It's a competition clutches stage 4 kit and light flywheel. They didn't have a part number for a V... Just for a c5 z06/LS6.

Still looking for the answer to this if anyone knows! I know the C5 Z06 clutch will obviously work but still unsure of which new slave will bolt up and work with no issues???

Also, will i have an issue with the size of the throwout bearing? I have one that came with the kit so im assuming it would work with the longer slave that will work with the new clutch but i am not 100% sure...

Honestly you might juat have to measure it. The bearing should be fine.

Spoke with Luke at Lindsay Cadillac and he said the LS7 should work. Says he's not 100% sure but he said considering the factory slave would work with a spacer, the LS7 is a little longer so he doesn't see why it wouldn't. Just wanted to find out for sure before I spend the money ordering one. I can measure my stock one but won't be able to measure the new one until I buy it so that's my only issue.

Did you ever figure this out? I am installing a Centerforce 12" DFX clutch and it has the same dimensions as the LS6 clutch. I need to know what slave to use or what other slaves I can use that have the same dimension. I am also using the Katech slave spacer.

Default Slave cylinder comparison

Stock on left, new C6 GM slave on the right.

C6 base and C6 Z06 (LS7) are the same PN.

Sorry

Sorry, I don't understand. They are obviously both GM slave cylinders. The first one (LEFT) is stock so its obviously a CTS-V slave, but the one on the (RIGHT) is what? LS6? LS7?
