Its time. At 113k miles its time for a new clutch.
I pulled out the exhaust and driveshaft the other day. Tranmission is leaking and the rear diff bushing is shot.
This is going to be about 4 week project.
Here is a parts list I made yesterday. Im going to order the F1 clutch kit $540 shipped.
$26.99 ARP Pro Series Flywheel Bolt Kit 330-2802
$18.99 ARP Pressure Plate Bolts 134-2201
$49.99 Tick Performance Remote Clutch SPEEDbleeder Line for C5 Corvette
$48.14 Transmission Mainshaft PN 89059483
$21.99 TICKshift #95 Isolator Cup (Bronze Upgraded) 95B
$166.10 Total
What other parts should I replace?
Im going to order the creative-steel CTS-V rear bushing $65.00

Stone,
I am currently doing the same upgrades as you and when I checked with Tick Performance they told me I needed the remote bleeder for the 05+ Vettes (the part also says for 04-07 CTS-V) part#TPSBLC6
Just wanted to ask why you purchased the C5 part# TPSBL ?

I am replacing the slave with an LS7 slave.
I should get the parts in today.

Read this post.
This is where I found out you need a straight bleeder.

So in retrospect,
If you're doing a clutch job with an LS7 slave, get a bleeder with a straight adapter.
If you're doing a clutch job with a stock CTS-V slave and stock dual-mass flywheel, get a bleeder with the bent adapter.
If you're doing a clutch job with a stock CTS-V slave, aftermarket flywheel, and spacer, get a bleeder with a straight adapter.
Correct?

Just got off the phone with Tick, they said the only remote speed bleeder line they have that's straight (not angled) and will work with an LS7 slave is the line for the 2010+ Camaro.

If you look at the picture for the C5 line linked previously, the fitting will not fit an LS7 slave.

Kama - I also spoke to Martin from Tick Performance today and the above post is correct. I ordered the C5 bleeder line a week or so ago and now need the fitting from the 5th gen Camaro bleeder line to work with the LS7 clutch/slave etc in my 05 CTS-V.
Stone17 - In regards to your post a few posts earlier. I was in the same situation as you and opted for a LUK LS7 clutch/slave kit with an F1 20.4lb chromoly flywheel. I won't be reaching 500rwhp ever/maybe in the extremely distant future and if people run full boltons+ more with no problems then why not keep the drivability. I already have a race car with a big cam and an extremely aggressive clutch that sucks in traffic haha.
Here is the link where I found the kit I am referring to...and I was reading somewhere that LUK is the OEM manufacturer of GM clutches?

Here is my 05V with an LS& everything and the Tick bleeder. Fits fine, no need for a straight line on mine:

The possible issue was that the bleeder line would not rest properly when the trans is aligned with the bell housing. In the past, people had to bend the line straight where the 45 degree angle was at just enough for it to clear when using the LS7 slave. If the line was bent too hard, it could leak.
It was also possible that the line could potentially rub against the bell housing if the line retained the 45 degree angle and in time could cause a rupture to the line. This is also why people had to notch the bell housing in the past so the line could clear.
Did you have to notch the bell housing?

yeah notch it (not too hard) or have the end replaced..
I bought the "right" bleeder from tick for my stock slave and ended up having a shop that builds ss lines put a new straight fitting on the end after I farked it up trying to bend the angled one myself. I gambled on the install only to find out later that it was leaking.
If you're reusing the stock slave and you get the tick bleeder, tell them to cut off the angled end and put a straight fitting on.
I have the ls7 slave but haven't put it in yet so I can't comment on which type is better (but I'd like to know)

How are you on tools?
If you are not strapped, you might be able to bring it to my house and roll with my ****, since I have everything and then I can get my bud that helped me, so you will have two guys that have done it twice each.
4x the experience.

Seriously, Listen, I did this with the said parts a few months back. Search and find my thread.
I bent the bleeder line a little, but no need to notch anything really.
Maybe Tick changed their fitting a little.
I had to bend the Slave line up, so the bracket would line up with the bellhousing.
