Default Getting Ready for clutch install

Its time. At 113k miles its time for a new clutch.
I pulled out the exhaust and driveshaft the other day. Tranmission is leaking and the rear diff bushing is shot.

This is going to be about 4 week project.

Here is a parts list I made yesterday. Im going to order the F1 clutch kit $540 shipped.

$26.99 ARP Pro Series Flywheel Bolt Kit 330-2802
$18.99 ARP Pressure Plate Bolts 134-2201
$49.99 Tick Performance Remote Clutch SPEEDbleeder Line for C5 Corvette
$48.14 Transmission Mainshaft PN 89059483
$21.99 TICKshift #95 Isolator Cup (Bronze Upgraded) 95B

$166.10 Total

What other parts should I replace?

Im going to order the creative-steel CTS-V rear bushing $65.00

Where is the trans leaking from? You could replace the main shaft seal as well if that was leaking. Aside from that it sounds like you have what you need. I'm getting ready to rebuild my trans in the next few weeks so I have been looking at the same parts. Too bad tick does not respond to my email or they might of had a large parts order.

The rear seal been leaking for 2 years now. If you look the picture above. Look like the front seal is leaking too.

Don't forget to get a new rear cover gasket, and put some rtv silicone on the bottom of the cover when reassembling.

Depending on what your plans are for the car, I would consider getting the trans serviced.

thanks for this thread - about to do this myself. Question: do you have the PN for the throwout bearing did you used?

hey heavy - what would you consider to be a worthwhile "service"? Meaning, Tick's $1000 T56 service?

The throwout bearing is coming with the LS7 F1 clutch kit. I have not order the clutch kit yet. Still dont know if I want an F1 clutch kit or stock LS7 Clutch.

Check out the link below. This unit includes a throwout bearing

You can get that slave cheaper through a local parts store or at Oreiley.com.

If the thing was "beat on" and 113k miles I would consider at least replacing the shifting forks and have the syncros looked at.

I wouldn't consider a full on rebuild unless inspection revealed a bunch of stuff that was worn out.

Buy the slave from Orielly's if you can catch it, only $100 but they sell out quick in my experience! For the clutch kit if you haven't already ordered it check out Scoggin Dickey for the LS7
