Default Looking for some parts

Hey guys,

I have made the switch from my LT1 Formula, to a '00 WS6. The car is bone stock, and i'd like a couple little things before spring comes. Here's what im looking for:

Rear Qa1's
3" catback - B&B, Magnaflow, others?
ATI Procharger D1SC.

New or used, either works for me. If you can point me in a good direction of a Procharger dealer in Canada, that would be appreciated as well

thanks,
-Cam

PSP in Scarborough is an authorised dealer for Procharger. Ask for Paul.

Other mods to consider are long tube headers, LS6 intake or FAST(will work well with the blower).

I talked to Paul Silva, $6500 for a D1SC kit! I think the best bang for the buck would be in a set of longtubes and a cam swap! Im still shopping around, but I do need some rear QA1s 100% for sure.

I should get some pics of the car to post. I found it on ebay, in Toronto, with 35200km on it. WS6, 6spd, t-tops and leather. The car shows like brand new. Im stoked. Cant wait till spring.

sup Cam

Nice purchase

Best bang for the buck would be the blower. My brother's put a cam and longtubes in his car, it has 370 at the wheels now (started with 310). He spent about $4500 + for 60 rwhp (see the sig plus cheaTR cam and 921 springs). look for a used blower or turbo set up for a better deal, there are tons for sale here usually

Still got the Sierra? Have you checked out the truck section on here yet?

A good head and cam setup will out perform a blower setup everytime. Go with a set of AFR 205 heads, good cam and Kooks, or QTP headers. In addition a good tune is key to the setup. No worries about blower belts, smooth hp/tq.

I'm running a small cam, mild ported heads with stock valve size and make 380 hp to the wheels. This is without longtubes and using the stock cats. My setup is very budget minded.

Augie, your still being restricted by the ls1 intake manifold and no underdrive pulley though, with those you should make almost 400rwhp.

I dont know about a H/C setup outperforming a blower though, a d1sc kit can put 550 to the wheels no prob, while the h/c setup im currently working on should put me at about 460rw.

$4500 for cam and LT's? That seems a bit much.

$4500 included:

$2400 for the headers and y-pipe (bought last year when the doller was around 70 - 75 cents I think) after shipping
$400 for the cam
$1000 for 921 springs
$2 or 300 for the pushrods (found out later about a cheaper version)
$150 for the ls6 oil pump and timing chain
plus gaskets for the waterpump, front cover, new crank bolt, whisper lid, smooth bellows, ported throttlebody and a few other things

Tristan: The intake is for a sure a bottleneck right now, gotta do something about that

Pesticide: It already has Kook's

The game plan is a lid, Edelbrock LT's, and a B&B catback. The price is right for Patriots heads and cam package, and they seem to put out good numbers. But the jury is out. Im in no rush. Hopefully I can get my stuff used off the boards like i've always done.

Anyone have QA1's in their daily drivers? Curious about the ride.. .i've got a set of fronts sitting here for the car.

Augie, i've still got the Sierra. I used it to tow the WS6 home. I dont know what I would do without a 4x4 up here man. The snow has been crazy. You been up to Owensound or anything lately?
