Don't really know if they fixed the issue, now when people call and ask me what to pick out for me to help them tune their carbs I always say holley HP, pro systems or quick fuel if they want them to look shiny and match all the chrome under the hood. Summit stopped carrying demon carbs because they had a 10 or 12% return rate from what the guy on the phone said, only jegs carries them now.

Its hard to beat Pro-Systems, I've had 2 of them and several of my friends have them. Every single one of them ran great right out of the box and required very little tuning. I'll be buying another one for my new combination.

Thatnks for the responses guys.

I took a look at pro-systems. Seems they're a built-to-suit company. Good looking stuff. Might be worth the little extra cash.

Then you've got Quickfuel, AED and Proform, which sell off the shelf stuff but it's been worked over with their own little tricks. Not a bad choice if you can't swing that much cash, but want a bit of an upgrade.

Holley being the basic carb; something you'll re-work yourself if that's what you want but perfectly fine for 90% of the people running around on the street.

That's what I'm taking from all this research I'm doing.

Pro systems is the bomb, then if you are local, you can have a BS carb worked over by Davinci and he will make it work like magic.

My personal experiance with BG carbs and pumps is to steer away.

Guys, guys...Edelbrock? lol...jk.

Haven't heard anything good about BG lately. Summit stopped carrying them too. I think I'd go with quick fuel, something with annular boosters of course.

How much does DaVinci charge to modify a customer's carb?
