Carbed LSx in a 4th gen
I was browsing through some of the cars in the sticky at the top of this section, but I havent had much luck finding photos of carbed 4th gen lsx cars. I am in the process of swapping an Lq4 into my 95z and I wanted to get an idea of where guys are mounting things/ clearance and etc...
Thanks!
Thanks!

I know you'll have to cut the cowl and a Cowl Hood is more likely needed.
Here is the thread this guy is on, a carb may sit a little higher but can be done

My car has a carb on it but I don't have any pics on this computer of it. I just cut the center section of the cowl but since I have the motor out of the car now, I'm cutting the entire piece like ATwelveSec02Z28 did

I have a cary/mast intake and I'm looking at going with a pro-systems carb and single plate setup.
Based on what I see in this thread, I have to cut back to the windshield to make it work. So much for keeping wipers I suppose.
I have also heard that the carb will need to be turned sideways since the intake and plate are so tall.
Anyone running this setup and have pics?

You have a couple options - You can cut to the windshield, mount engine in stock location, and turn carb sideways (saw on YB 4500 carb)
or you move the engine forward, still cut to the windshield and mount the carb normal - but this will screw up the weight transfer and probably not even a good idea in general.
or you can go lexan windshield, and box out the carb.
anyway you cut it, youre losing the wipers.

Mine is a Super Victor - Carys intake is a good bit taller.

I hate to cut up my street car, so I will probably put this combo in my 95 T/A drag roller since its gutted anyway.

I'm running a Victor Jr, Edelbrock plate kit and a AED 750. I have just enough room under the windshield to get the bottom half of the air cleaner on but I have to flatten the back half of the filter for it to work
