1090 king demon flows more air and is a better carb. the holleys are rated dry flow, and the Demons are rated wet flow.
my current 850 mighty demon probably moves as much, or more air than a 1000hp holley.

Edit: I dont know if the 1090 will be too much, or not, But I'll be sure to share the info if I actually get to do the swap.

I disagree that there won't be any trade offs. It won't rev as quick or have as much throttle response unless it's a vaccum secondary. I do agree that these motors do like to breath more than a older SBC and will need more fuel off idle than a SBC. Heck go all out and get a Quick Fuel QFX 1450 and flow lots of air!! We do offer a 1050 (2 and 3 circuit), 1050 big bore, 1150, 1150 big bore, 1250, and 1450.

with the 1090, or bigger, I'm sure there may be some low rpm trade offs, but my 850 seems to run great.
