Newbie

alright guys im a newbie to the ls world. selling my bbc to build a ls6 i just picked up yesterday. its just a short block (roating assembly, cam, timing chain, and block). anyway, i will be leaving bottom end stock and im looking to make 550 to 600 n/a then throw a 150 shot or so on it. the spray might be a little much so its optional. i am having trouble finding which heads would be the best to use now and still have some power left in them later? thanks for the help.

Welcome! Trickflow 215cc Heads with VRX5 cam is a great combination and give around 500rwhp on a ls6. But Kooks ( I think kooks) headers are required.

yea it will be carbed.

i checked those heads out the numbers look good.

there are so many different brands out there i never heard of so thought i would ask yall before i decided.

are kooks headers special? other than maybe primary size.

AFR 225 are also good candidates for your goal. just use whatever best headers that fit correct. even if have to make yourself.

Kooks headers and exhaust is the ****! Do some more research on TF heads and AFR, those both are top notch.

Well cant afford afr and the tf 220 springs are only good to 600 lift

How big of a cam can u go without worrying bout piston to valve clearance?

I believe 228r TSR cam. If I'm wrong, please don't make a big deal out of it.

thats a fairly small cam. it has a z06 cam in it now so that wouldnt be much bigger. so for my sake i hope your wrong. hahaha.
