Default What carbs you all running on your LSx?

Well, as some of you know, I had been back and fourth on EFI vs Carbs. And that I have chosen to go carbd. With that said, what carbs are you guys running on your LSx? Mine is a bone stock 98 LS1 Camaro SS engine, I bought a Edelbrock Vr. Jr. LS1, MSD 6010, Edelbrock long tube headers, 3" Flowmaster exhaust. I do plan to cam this engine in the future. I had thought about running the Holley 750 Street HP carb. Is this a good carb for my set up? What are you all doing? Thanks

Default Same thing

Funny you say that. They are the same. We just purchased a Pro-Form main body and it has "AED" stamped on one side.
Go figure.

Built my own, had a 650 holley DP, bougth a quick fuel base plate, Proform main body and been tuning away ever since:

Swap meet 650 DP: 40$

QF base plate: 140$

PF main body: 100$

So, 280$ in a bad *** little setup.

Pro Systems makes the best carbs that I have seen. Always tune nice and run good!

Demon? They are ok, Pro systems i think has the top carbs, AED right under them, Holley and Demon are your regular cabs.

Holley 750 DP, mechanical secondaries. I want the choke horns, even thought my car stays in the garage when the salt is on the roads.

I really like the look of the Quick Fuel carbs. Sort of wish I would have gone with one of those initially instead. The DP is doing everything I need, but the Quick Fuel just seems more tricked out and adjustable.

I have often wondered what the difference is between the different Holley carbs. I'm not sure what makes a Street HP carb different from a DP. I know the DP is tuned more toward a race set up, but with a wideband and some drill bits/set screws you can tune that out of them.

I prefer the Holley Hp series carbs. The newer street Hp series also seem very nice for an out of the box carb.
If u can afford a tuner carb. Pro systems would be my top choice

I just sold my Holly 750 and bought a couple Demon carbs to try on mine and my cousin's projects. I may send mine to Pro Systems to have it set up for me.

Im also currently in the process of picking a carb for my LY6 project. Im leaning towards the Pro Systems setup based on the fact that its a custom carb and the price differance between a holley hp box carb and a custom designed set up is minimal.

Unless you know where to get them at a cheaper price. I found a Holley 750 Street HP for $420 shipped.
