Default Don key engines

Does anyone know what that intake is on his LS entry in the engine masters competition.Strange looking and I want one.It is listed as G.M.P.P intake.That is not true.Thanks

That is the new GMPP dual plane intake for L92 heads.

L92 headed 409" engine with that new GMPP dual plane intake.
It made 522hp at only 5700 RPM and 516 ft lbs at 4200 RPM.

As a side note, That engine made 600hp & 580tq at the D&A shop with that tiny cam.

The crappy gas that was used at EM required every entry to dial back the timing and tune considerably.

Do you mean crappy gas as in pump gas vs. racing gas?

No, from what I have read, the specially formulated 91 octane "california blend" gas provided by Rockett for the engine masters competition was absolute junk.

Every entry suffered because of this. I also read that 10 engines were lost to detonation from this junk.

holy cow crap gas. small carb. small cam 400+ ci LSX 11.4:1 stuff some cam and carb to it and let it make some power
