Default Barry Grant Closed the Doors

Here is some sad news, as the title implies Barry Grant has closed its doors in a chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Hope all involved can find jobs and continue with as little hardship as possible.

oh well, summit stopped carrying them because their returns were around 10% for the carbs. I had bought several for people and there was metal shavings still in them a few years ago and never bought another one of his products. Ran his BG280 pump and that didn't last me a season before it ate itself either.

I wonder if there's plans to make a comeback or continue servicing their customers. It's sad to see such a big name fall like that.

In the article that I read, he said he had made no plans at all for the future. He even lost his house, trying to save the business.

Unfortunate.

Maybe it is a hoax. So far the only places reporting it are car forumns.

We can only hope.

They made that inline 4 barrel. Not sure how well it worked but it sure looked cool.

when i went to SEMA in november, everyone was talking about it. I dont like Demon stuff for the reason i couldnt get the carbs to quite overfueling at idle no matter what i did, otherwise they worked well once you pulled them apart and cleaned them up.

Wonder what ever became of those 3 ohv heads that Barry grant was supposed to release? Iirc they had a shamrock looking combustion chamber. Seemed like the prototypes flowed very well

Sorry to hear it also, but had 1 of his 220 hot rod pumps an had nothing but trouble with it ......overpriced junk. If you went by their chart on fuel pump sizing it would be impossible for me to do 10.20 qtrs with a cheesy holly blue pump but formulas are just that, reality is what it is.
