I also use the Edlebrock ls conversion to carb kit. Works very good and trouble free. With a GM hot cam and good suspension, I have ran 11.90@115 in a 98 s10 w/race wt of 3400, with a basically stock 5.3!!!

As long as your motor is stock compression you probably won't have any problems with that kit. All of the tuning pills have 36 degrees total timing in them so they're not too good on a motor with more compression than stock.

it is cheaper to buy the manifold by itself, and get an msd 6010 box seperate, and it's editable.

btw, i'm running 35* with 11.5:1 scr...compression is not the only factor in dictating overall timing.

Buy the manifold and box separately. You want the programable MSD box instead of the Edlebrock box. A quick search will tell you why.

You could probably buy the edlebrock box used for a good discount. Most people want the MSD one.

Also the extra ability to edit other things than just timing.

6010 is for the 97-2004 GEN III, the 6012 is for the 2005 up GEN IV.
