Default First Run ......

Well I made 5 passes and drove it home... I guess that is really good, considering my luck with previous motors.
Ran 12.69 @ 106. Not exactly as fast as I wanted... but it was really hot,90 and real high humiddidy. Along with my inability to do burnouts and leave the light. This automatic is really different than a munice 4 speed.
I have videos ,but I guess their in the wrong format or to long or something. So I have to figure that out. All passes were 12.69 to 12.75. That is pretty consistant. I really need more stall, and the experience to use it. lol

It will only get faster from there, but hey, you have a 12 second truck!

12's are still pretty decent and will beat 75% or more of the cars/trucks on the street

Yea 12's are pretty decent. Iwas hoping for lower 12's. Will work for that. When I get better at burn outs and the light I'll flip the switch. Then I hope to do better.

I went to photobucket and tried to download my videos but couldn't even get them from my files. I'm doing something wrong. Got some pics on there but wouldn't bring the videos from same file. I'll keep trying. One of the runs is on you tube under 2006 GMC at Mokan.

There's definately more left in it. Did you roll it across the track scale?

Our track doesn't have a scale that I know about. The truck weighs 4650 with me in it. I have a small person that needs to get out of me then it will be a bit better.LOL

That's where your ET went. I bet you can cut atleast 600lbs outta that truck. I know there are extended cab trucks out there weighing around 4200-4400 and a few single cab trucks that claim 3800lbs. That's around 5+ tenths worth of ET.

I'm looking into that now. Just need to figure what to take out. Seats and interior are coming out and single seat w/harness going back in. I only ran with drivers seat last time.Fuel tank is plastic anyway and only has about 8 gals in it at one time. So theres not much weight to lose by putting a fuel cell in at this time altho that is in the future plans. Has anyone taken any weight out of a RCSB, that can give me some ideas. I'm going back to the track fri. nite and see if I can hone my burnout and light skills. Altho its supposed to be in the 90's again. As long as it doesn't snow or rain. Oh yea, am taking back glass out replacing with 3/16 lexan. That way I'll be able to cut holes for roll bar to the rear frame. I'd sure like to see around 12 flat just on motor. It might take more stall and more cam. I'm sure they would both help. Thanks for the ideas Steve Sr.

As far as weight...I don't know about those newer trucks, but on mine I replaced the heavy stock hood, and got rid of the spare tire setup. I bet your core support also weighs a lot.
