I think you have a good combo just the carb it is too big, maybe a 750 or 850 would work better, my truck weights a lillte less than yours like 3700lbs with a lq9 camed, 750dp, th400, 3000stall, 3.73 gears and it is doing 12.90 in the quarter mile

well the truck itself weighed 3750 so im hopin to get down to 36?? and im tryin to find a 950 around here to trade cause i aint got the extra cash to buy another carb. it deffinitly wont be starvin lmao!!!

That thing should move some air. With those heads and cam you will definitely need bigger than a 750 carb. the 1150 may be more of a challange to tune, but it's not like you are looking for street manners.
I assume you will have some long tubes and big diameter exhaust to back it up?
Do you need to port match the intake to the heads?

I agree I would not even attempt to run that carb with this set up way to big. If you already had the cam I am sure it will work fine but if you have not purchased a cam yet i would get something with a tighter lsa the single plane manifolds like 108-110 best. Best bet would be a custom cam by Pat G.

well i already have the cam. its wat geoff at eps recommended. its actually installed at 109 but ground to 112. it should love the nitrous hehe. as far as the carb goes i will just jet it down. ive ran carbs to big for motors before and even tho there not ideal i think i can get this to work.

holley 950 is TOO SMALL, its actually a 750cfm carb. The 1150 dominator is big, but if thats what you have and you dont want to spend money, it will work. As mensioned, it will require some tinkering to get the idle and transitions figured out, but it can be done. I run an 850 mighty demon on mine which flows closer to 1000 cfm in reality

should work pretty good, converter will be good for leaving with the juice on and if you can get it to hook, but a little tight for n/a. If you have all the parts already, then bolt it together and let'er rip, then post your results

well i thought i would post on this again. i finally started it last night. i got a 950hp for it and a 4000 stall. i put the number 5 chip in it just to start it. it turned over about 3 times and busted off and sat there and idled like it has been running for years. i need to finish up some small stuff on truck then its time to see what she will do!!! this thing would have never ran if it wasn't for all the info on this website.
