Default NHRA Pro-Stock on ESPN2

If I could take any ride it would one pass in an NHRA pro-stock car. Naturally aspirated nirvana baby!

You guys are more brave than I am. All my years at the track, I never wanted in a nitro car.

The NHRA pro-stock cars are just the pinnacle of what I love in drag racing. The most finely tuned beautiful sounding naturally aspirated V8s on the planet. And, the cars still look like cars. I am just a door car kinda guy I guess.

Speedtigger, I agree with you. I have always liked the door slammers the best. Even tho mine is a pickup. I know I've mention this before.... I have a friend who runs 7.5 @ 183 in a 55 chevy. Thats really moving as far as I'm concerned.

we have a local guy who had a 4 door rambler that was in the 7s at around 180.this thing was a street car! he drove it to the track pulling his golfcart.this thing almost became a legend around here. top 7 at the pump gas drags and won the first dynomax dyno challenge. he made 1640 rwhp at sema and couldnt even run his intercooler because sema wouldnt let him bring ice though the showroom! at the time he was running a sbc w twin 88s. the engine is in a fox body now. if u watch passtime on speed channel u may have seen it a south ga motorsports park. it went 7.2 at 202! you could no pay me to sit in that thing for 7 sec at full boost. front wheels dont touch the ground till the 1000ft mark. 10-11 second rides are fast enough for me.
