Default 500 hp LS6 carb set up

Im new to the LSx stuff so I just bought a LS6 short block and planning to get to the 500 HP range. What will it take to get to that point and how much different is the LSX series to the generation 1? Needing all the info I can get thanks!!!

500 to the flywheel, or the wheels. And as far as information, the search function is your BEST friend. I found someone whos combo best suited my needs and PMd them and picked thier brain. Thats my best advice. Best of luck, Eric L

How much different? The lifters and rode bearings are the only thing i can think of that they have in common.
