Best run was 11.98@113 with a 60' of 1.75. I think 1/8 was 7.70@91.
This was a personal worst. KC was happy to be back racing, disapointed but glad to be back.
We left the car in drive and it was shifting just shy of 6,000. Max power on the dyno is 6,700.
I know more et can be found shifting higher, but I also know that the air was killing the car.
I went back to the dyno Sat morning to see where the power was. Still made 400 at the wheels. The air was still nasty. The dyno correction was 1.2. That's 20%. I've never seen that before.
I tried the spacer with no change in the power curve.
I'll try to post the dyno sheets. The motor really lays down in the upper rpm due to lack of headers and the cam choice.
Still 400 whp in 2850lb car should work better.
We are hoping to go racing this Friday and the weather looks like low 70's.
I have been crazy busy on the dyno with customers last week and this week. Friday is open, so I'm going to try more stuff before we go to the track.

Shifting 700 RPM below peak power is definitely a problem. But, the 60' are seriously weak too. Tell us all the gory details. What is your timing and what are your jets? What is the converter flashing to?

Timing is 32* total, jetting is good. A/F is 13.4 all across. This is the timing and jetting it likes on the dyno. The air was really bad. There was a supercharged Mustang running low 12's, he has run 11.50's in better air. Most the regular guys were running 1/2 sec slower than usual.
I was hoping to go back this Friday, but they are calling for rain.
Not sure if I can make it Sat. The car made 400rwhp@ 6700rpm. I know it will come around if I shift it higher and the air gets better.

Tigger did you get your car dialed in better? Did you buy your carb new? Just wondering if someone got into the drill box and screwed the metering.

With the map sensor putting in vacuum advance, it will idle nicely at 14:1, but it goes dead lean at the slightest tip in. I tried the drill bit trick with the idle bleeds, but it did not work. That just richened up the mixture at idle and did not cure the tip in lean condition. I told my complaints to Patrick and he said send it in and he will tweak it. After I throw together another carb to run while it is out, I will send it to him.

Interested as well. Got a 77 fastback that needs some love. Curious about the steering rack and mounts.

The car has been sold. Ran 9.87@136 with 200 shot nitrous. New build is a 76 Datsun 280Z. Bought an LS3 from Katech in Mich. 585 flywheel hp.

Hey Stinky. Mind if i ask you what wheel Backspacing you were using on the Monza, and if the radials were 235 50's or 60's. They look like 50's to me. Your car sat exactly how i'm shooting for mine to sit now. That was a badass car, great work sir.

not sure on back spacing. 15x7 with 235x60 M/T drag radials and BFG 235x60.
Rear was 9" Ford with stock brackets. Adjustable lower arms and panhard bar.
S&W F body torque arm. Competition Engineering adjustable shocks. TRW rear springs with I think one coil cut.
Front had G body spindles V8 Monza springs and if I recall 2 coils cut. Also Comp Engineering front adjustable shocks.
Car was great daily driver with 3.50 gear. All steel car. 2850lbs.
