Default Need some help with the conversion

Over the winter i plan on converting my ls1 to carb. I know i need a intake with a msd box. Which one will i need? My car is going to be strickly for track use only so i need one that can take the rpms. Also what else do i need to make the conversion over to carbureted? While im doing to the conversion im going to change cam and the heads. Which cam and heads work well with this? Would the trex cam be good? Im trying to get my car into the tens by doing this. So i need one of the biggest cam and heads that match. I would appreciate if anyone can help me. Thank you

msd 6010 box. go with some l92 or ls3. either of edelbrock victor single plan intakes or gm performance one should work good with these heads. cam wise, you want to get a custom one for your intended use.

Ported and polished 243 heads with a Trex might get you there, it has for allot of people, but fly cutting may or may not be needed, the PTV has to be checked.

For my tastes, I'd like to see a combo with the Speed Inc SI7 cam, TEA prepped Trick Flow 215's and a Super Victor.

You will need an carb adjustable fuel pressure regulator to get your fuel pressure down to 7psi for the carb. Either that, or change your entire fuel system to a carb setup.

The Aeromotive high pressure carb reg should work fine, he will need to adapt it to work with the stock lines. Then hot wire the pump to key/switch on, no biggie.

TEA ported LS6 castings. 5.3 heads that are ported, ect. That is all Patriot heads are is a LS6 casting CNCd, and they are not as good as other ported versions.

TEA allows you to send them castings of your choice and they work them over, great bang for the buck. Then there are other sponsors here that will see ported castings, i will look later for you when i get a chance to find a really good recommendation or two,
