Default e-bay rotating assembly

does anyone have an opinion on this assembly?im building an lq4 with l92 heads for my 92 vette.im looking for 408ci and durability with a 200 shot.ill have a spray bar or a plate.im looking for 600rwhp on spray.my budget allows for a better assembly, but if this kit will hold up to my expectations then id rather put the money elsewhere.any opinions?

You can get brand new Wiseco pistons, Eagle rods, a callies crank, and rod/main bearings for around $1600ish... I would not chance it with ebay junk.

Yeah, I'm running Wiseco 4.07s, with Eagle rods, and a stock crank. Planning on making 1000whp.

Because you don't need it (at least not with stock stroke). There have been tons of people that have made over 1000whp on a stock crank.

im pretty new to the lsx stuff and im pretty much the last of my friends to make the move.i knew these were increadable motors but i never would of thought that the stock cranks would hold that kind of power.ive been reading this forum day and night trying to catch up.ill post a build thread with pics as soon as i make some more progress.i just put the vette on jackstands yesterday to pull the lt-1 junk out,and get the car ready for the swap.its going to see very little street action, the car will be mainly for the track.hoping for low 6. or high 5. in the eighth.

Stay away from ebay rotating assembly .. a friend of mine received a not original wesico pistons for his Honda from ebay

westtexasbuff is building his engine with turbo setup and stock crank is fine with 800 ~ 900 RWHP. People is doing it alot with superchargers and turbos. Also stock crank " smaller " will allow for better piston ring land design that will abuse more against power adder.

You are using LQ9 iron block so your choices are 370ci (Rods & Pistons) vs 408ci (Complete Rotating Assembly)
As you stated that you will spray 200 shot from time to time and assume you need it to perform great N/A .. so do the 408ci with 4" crank instead of using stock 3.6" crank .. Bigger CI is better for N/A power

You will have an easy 500 ~ 520 rwhp N/A and 700 + rwhp on bottle

Texas speed has great prices on 408ci rotating assembly .. if you are on budget go with Eagle Crank, Eagle rods with 2000 ARP bolts, Wesico Pistons, Balance rotating assembly, clevite bearings for 2,215

Good luck

thanks for the great info ill give them a call tomarrow.i have about 2500 to spend on the assembly so theres no reason for me to buy anything questionable.id much rather over build something than under build it.

500rwhp n/a would be super good for me.i was thinking it would be 450ish n/a and 650ish on spray.

You can achieve those goals on a stock bottom end LS1 (450ish n/a, and 650 on spray). I made 468/417 N/A on my old setup with a smallish cam. I had plans to spray a 200 shot on top of that, but sold everything to go turbo instead.

Call HKE, they have the best prices on rotating assemblies.

Im running a set of Forged L92 pistons, Eagle H beam rods and a stock crank and a spec'd cam. I should make 500+ with my ported LS3 heads. I have about $1k in my rotating assembly. Let me know if you want part numbers. Im going to spray 200 hp as well.

does"l92 piston" mean that it wont have to be fly cut for ptv clearance?or is there a specific piston for those heads when running a spec'd cam that will keep me from having to do that?

A l92 style piston means that the piston has fly cuts in it for a l92/ls3 sized valve.
