sounds like it should be a pretty stout setup.
that combo is probably going to eat that carb, gonna need a bigger one.

When the cam was spec'd, what was Geoff's thought process behind the big 16° split? 235°/251°
That is quite a bit bigger of a split than the ~8° that has become commonplace in the L92 world.
(- Just curious, I am always looking to read and learn about something new.)

What are you planning for headers and exhaust?

What does your camaro weigh?

Mike @ CFM has some produced some great heads.

There is a member on this board running a a nearly identically spec'd engine to yours that has run 10.70's@125 with a 1.47 60ft on pump gas. It is a 6.0 LY6 with CFM ported heads in a 3700lb 68 chevelle, 200r4 trans, Victor jr, 750 carb.
Simple but fast combo.

he told me the intake valve doesnt need to be open very long to fill the cylinder due to the huge intake ports. we'll see how she runs..

not sure on headers yet. not alot availible for 82-92 camaro.

havent scaled it. has no a/c , heater box, rear seats, crash bars front and rear removed. its an rs maybe 3400 with me in it? im a small guy.

mike was telling me about a guy with a heavy chevelle that he ported up. said it turned out good. thats the results im looking for.

I just remembered I have a quick fuel 1050 up in the attic. I jiust put newa seals it and stored it. Put itit back to the way it came from qft. Do you think that would be a better match to start with? It was in an e85 big block. It had the metering blocks nodded for e85

Not unless you plan to run E85... the jetting and metering will be WAY too big for gas.

Nope, just ARP2000 rod bolts, no money for rods/pistons right now, next time.
jgillen91 - when do you plan to have yours together? are you going to put it on a dyno? I'm definately interested to see how both our engines do, seems like ALOT of guys putting VERY SIMILAR combo's together.

Think hawks offers a 2 inch primary header for 1200, I got my 1 3/4 from them for 800, nice pieces.

Those combos will all run harder than my lq4 with stock heads, I think the 850 carb will be fine, we are not talking 400+ cubes here.

Curious to see how well all you guys run in comparison with the ls3 top ends.

Hope to gave engine completely built at the end of feb. Gonna have to save up for some headers. Hope to have it running sometime in march. Not gonna dyno it. I am hoping for 600hp at the. crank. 10.70"s at 125+ check your compression ratio calculator. You are gonna be a lil higher than 11:1 . My flattops. with -3.3 cc v/r and milled. 035"63 on heads put me at 11.25:1 with. 040 gasket pistons outta the hole. 006"
