Back from the dead. Here’s a video and some pics of my first track outing with this car. The air sucked (5700’) but I’m still happy with the passes I got on it.

This thing is back under the the knife and headed for the forced Induction section. It’s getting 4.5L Whipple SC makeover in preparation for Drag Week next year<(I don’t think I can have it ready for this year) The new 4.5L Whipple SC is rated @ 1600 HP so if should be fun to drive and super quick if I can control all the low end torque.

Other modifications will include a ERL Super Deck 6 bolt block with a Callies BBC crank cut down for the mains but leaving the BBC rod journals and BBC Ultra Rods. Spark and fuel will come from a Holley Dominator EFI system. I’ll also put in a Chiseled Performance water tank to run ice water through the blower intake intercooler at the track and maybe some higher rear gears... Probably some 3.23’s Great for long trips and help tame some of the torque.

Thanks for the props and following along with me for the Carb version of this project. It was a lot of fun and I hope the next version will be just as successful.

Default Motor plates

Do you sell these motor plates. I read in the thread you said you built yours. I would be very interested in purchasing one if so. Great build. Car is beautiful.

I did at one time but it was more trouble than it was worth so I stopped. I think "Skinny Kid Race Cars" sell them... Might wanna check with him.

Yes... "Cap 5" is what I think they call them.

Here is I hope the final post and chapter of this project.

I did put a Supercharger engine in it for a while (1st pic) then decided to build a twin turbo engine for it (2nd pic) for Drag Week. The last pic is how it sits today. Testing will begin in a few weeks in prep for Drag Week in September.
