What does it mean: "rolling start"? Never seen a rolling start at a drag strip.

Sorry. My son's phone, kinda shaky, and at dusk.....so the video is pretty bad.

In all the years I have gone drag racing - that particular night was the only time I'd ever seen this: They were putting a mop or a broom or something in the beam to stage the lights, having us start at the burnout box and roll though. It probably gave me a couple tenths, maybe more?. I think the MPH was probably about normal.

That's pretty different. 112 MPH is typically 11.80 in a car that is working pretty good. What track was this?

Orlando Speedworld - I think it is the only 1/4 mile track anywhere in central Florida.

I finally got a 8.5 rear end so I am going to scrap this 7.5 and not worry so much about ruining another rear end.

I race about an hour and a half away at BMP in Bradenton. I will be back out when the cooler weather comes back. Maybe shooting for 9s. Perhaps if you feel like traveling you could race with us down here at BMP this winter some time.
