Wish I could help, lol. Im in the middle of mine also. Same cam, same ICL, same carb, same intake, same flycuts. Its going into a 2700 lb 1963 plymouth valiant tube chassis car. Should run out good. As a matter of fact, were going to start assembling the short block tomorrow. Ill let ya know if I run into anything strange. Give me a PM if you have any questions. I have PAGES of notes I took from conversations with Dave. Hope this helps, Eric L

Only thing I'm doing different is more compression. He claimed 10:1 and I'm shooting for closer to 11:1.
33-3400# car....see about getting it scaled when done.

My mustang isn't exactly the same as DMMizell but thats were the inspiration come from. him and billyflantos. But i haven't gotten the same results i am running slower.i also have more compression and better flowing heads than mike and billy.i guess the my combo hasn't come together yet

my best time is 6.42@109 in the 1/8 no 1/4 yet
the car is a 90 mustang 2800#

i have a stock bore and stroke ls2 with cnc ls3 heads about 13.5:1 compression

your car is trapping the same mph thru the 1/8 as mine so it looks like your short time must be off some where..i.e. suspension or converter(unless the da is bad or the tracks not there)...my car did 1.34 1.35 short times...you got the power....and thanks for the mention...billy

Dave, I hope I have everything picked out right. I'm only adding a little more compression...no "secrets" I need are there ?

Thanks. PM if needed.

I'm having converter issues with mine, I'm starting to think this thing is more along the lines of a 3000rpm, which is way way way too tight.

That and I think my cam is not very well matched to my motor.

Been bottom 10s on motor (1.50 60') and mid 9s spinning on a 150 hit (1.60 60').

Best we've managed for the 2nd time out (1st Time on the new converter) is a 11.153 @ 122.85 1.665 60' 4800ft DA. Having ignition/fuel issues. Stumbling most of the pass.

11.0:1 SCR Stock bottom end LQ9/ 91 octane/ Holley 850 DP/ Trickflow As cast 220cc heads, Vic Jr, Powerglide, 3130lb car w. driver

Killing alternator belts like CRAZY! 15series V belt setup

My math shows another .4 to be had....but spinning skews the MPH which skews the math....and at 4800DA WOW
