Default Beaudacious S10 Resurrected!!!

just got home from the drag strip. Saturday night run what ya brung. took my 96 s10 out after it sat in the driveway for 2 years. put new tires on and a new Braswell carb.(still running the edelbrock box with pills). engine is a bone stock 05 5.3L with the Sanderson S10 headers full exhaust, th350 (3000 stall).
truck made a bunch of 13.18 @101.7 mph and managed to knock off a 13.08 @102.7 with a 1.86 60ft time. just couldnt manage a 12 second pass. did 3 jet changes throughout the day and it is spot on so now its time for more power. any input on next mod would help thanks in advance

Cam, pushrods, springs, ported heads (or milled 243/799 castings). Nitrous, surely a tunable ignition box, weight reduction if there is room, a larger engine, plenty of options.

I would not do that before replacing that Edelbrock box with a programmable MSD box. The Eddy boxes have too much timing for nitrous and no good pills to fix it.

well had the truck out for a blast on the street today and the spraybar fell out of my Sniper plate and made some noise in side cylinder #7 nothing damaged but still had to pull heads and inspect. perfect time to slam a cam and valve springs into the old 5.3L might do a mild port job too. I have a set of 706 off the engine in the truck or I have a set of 243 at my shop what is the better head to do the work to? and does anyone have a mild cam and springs they want to part with? I am located in Ontario Canada so price accordingly for shipping
thanks everyone

Well I got the truck back up andrunning, has noticeable increase in mid range pull . Going to St Thomas Dragway for the weekend. Hoping the head work and cam/springs will get me into the 12s. I also have a brand new set of 26*11.5*16 et streets on it but I didn't have too much of a traction issue, just wanted fresh tires
Wish me luck

Just finished test and tune , ran a best of 12.54@108.8mph. More than happy with the way this truck is responding to the upgrades I'm throwing at it. Tomorrow is a big day of racing. 6000 to the winner. Here's hoping
